[osg-users] performance issues with RTT

I did some RTT research some weeks ago and found an interesting problem:
Running the pre-render OSG example with osg::Camera::RenderTargetImplementation set to osg::Camera::FRAME_BUFFER results in a nice 60 fps on my hardware.
Running the pre-render OSG example with osg::Camera::RenderTargetImplementation set to osg::Camera::FRAME_BUFFER_OBJECT results in a not so nice 30 fps on my hardware.
Please note that the only difference in the two runs is the FRAME_BUFFER vs FRAME_BUFFER_OBJECT setting.
My own RTT application suffer from the exact same problem (complexity of my scene has no impact on this problem).
I am at some point in time, going to test this problem with different kinds of hardware and drivers, just to see if this is a driver/hardware problem. Robert told me he had seen no such loss in framerate on Mac and Unix. I am running Windows.
I have seen a very similar problem when working on Direct-X earlier, so I believe this is a driver or hardware issue, but I do not know for sure yet.
