I want to install osgPPU too.
Where can I download it?

No I don't. I just set the osg version per default to
2.4.0 ;-)
However we (as 3rd party library developer) need some
proper way to determine the current osg version, in
deed.
 
One could use osgversion application to parse its
output and hence to determine the version. Other idea
would be to let install osg something like
OpenSceneGraph.pkg file which is then scanned by the
package tools and somehow piped to cmake to determine
the correct version. However, I think, this is a
different topic to discuss on that list ;-)

Wow, great!!! It seems that it is so easy!!! Maybe you
could provide me with some example application which I
could put to the library. In this way one can easy
find out how to use this both libraries to achieve
better looking rendering outputs ;-))
