Two quick questions on stereoscopic displays:
1. Does it make sense to render stereo images on a curved dome screen,
or across say 3 angled screens butted together, or a cave? My
impression is that stereo would not work on curved/angled screens, as
the stereo effect that jumps off the screen would begin to interfere
with each other because of the curved nature of the screen.
2. using osgstereo, my impression is that this is a pure software
solution that does not require any special displays, projectors, etc.
All you need are the passive 3D polorized glasses. Although it does
take up more graphics assets, as two offset images are being rendered
each frame.
Is this an accurate impression of stereo rendering?
Thanks.
Bob.
