[osg-users] [Osg-Users] When to go for OpenSceneGaph-2.2?

Thanks for the feedback... so if you guys want a release sooner than
later it will require us to all rally round and get back to testing
the beast.

I have a few more submissions to get into 2.1.x before we can really
do a serious attempt at 2.2. To do it for Siggraph gives us two
weeks, this is shorter than we had for 2.0, but... this is is what
many of the changes to the OSG build and distribution structure have
been about so it would be a quite a good test for the systems ;-)

Ideally I'd like to have the dev releases stable enough that we could
make a stable release call and week later have a stable release out,
and start making them regularly i.e. every 2-3 months. Contrasting
this with the run up to 1.0 and 1.x days where it was taking months to
get a release out, if we'd stuck with these we'd ground our selves
into the deck.

The trick is slick systems for making releases, and lots of testing...

Robert.
