I am not the support contact for the whole OSG project, I am just a  
contributor, and in particular, I know nothing about the osgterrain  
example. So by posting to the list, you not only contact more people  
(and therefore are more likely to get an answer), but you will also  
have more chances of your message being read by someone who actually  
knows the osgterrain example.
