Hehe yeah, it's generally advisable to change the least possible things 
from the stock OSG build/install, and use the libs/dlls like that. 
Otherwise, on one hand, you have to shoulder an additional maintenance 
burden (re-doing the same changes when you update to a newer version, 
which is a drag), and on the other hand, you will probably run into 
problems which no one else has and no one can support you with...
