Sorry, I don't have any more details.  I only came across the issue by
complete accident on a recent Google.  There appear to be a lot of
Debian package maintainers notifying upstream package maintainers of
this issue ahead of time so that when GCC 4.3 arrives the shit doesn't
hit the fan too hard. :)
