Yes the OSG supports mipmapping - it'll use ones your define in an
osg::Image (such as one loaded from dds with mipmaps) or create them
automatically using gluMipMaps or the hardware mipmap extension.
OpenGL itself determines which mipmap levels to use. There is a
Texture LOD bias extensions to OpenGL that tweaks the OpenGL
computation of the mipmaps, but the core OSG doesn't have support for
this. It could be added easily via a custom StateAttribute.
